Environmental Management Measures Including Total Cost
Discuss all necessary measures to be taken including total cost to ensure
effective protection of the marine environment and adjoining areas from the
exploration activities. The following items should be given emphasis:

Progressive rehabilitation/restoration of areas subject of exploration and
related activities including measures to control/reduce the impact of possible
sea bottom topographical changes
Measures to minimize siltation problems that may arise from the agitation of
sediments during sampling or preliminary processing
Handling of toxic and hazardous materials, if any, including an Emergency
Response Program
Accommodation of other activities in the area such as fishing, sea transport,
aquaculture, small-scale mining, etc.
Alternative plans if mangroves, coral ecosystem and special habitat of flora
and fauna are affected

Measures to be regularly undertaken to ensure the safety of navigation at sea
and prevent accident
Abandonment - measures and procedures after the conduct of exploration
with cost-estimate including, but not limited to the following:

not only limited to the period of exploration but occurs also after
exploration
